ELDERBLOOD “Son of the Morning” (PARAGON RECORDS) – UKRAINE

Elderblood was formed in Kharkiv in 2011, but that doesn’t mean they are some immature satan’s childs who just learned how to manipulate BOSS stomp box. If acts like DIMMU BORGIR, BAL SAGOTH, FAUST, ARCTURUS, BORKNAGAR, ANOREXIA NERVOSA stuck with the same level for long period now, Elderblood will make fun of them in the near future. These guys only take 3 years to master symphonic black metal and prove it with this very debut album. Son of the Morning was innovative, refreshing, satanic, skillful, and unholy yet terrifying modern! Elderblood is a keyboards driven band. Astargh, the mastermind behind Elderblood crafted his songs with strange feeling of blasphemy and symphony in perfect soundscape and tempos. And my favorite track is “The XI-th Angle”. It’s like a re-arranged opus of 90’s DIMMU BORGIR into super metal orchestra with solid recording.

This album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Astargh himself. This is the grand future and the artistic side of Black Metal. And it sells.
