Permanent Midnight was laid to rest in 2006 after fought ‘holy light’ for 10 years of lunacy. This is their collective tracks from 1996 to 2006 mastered at Wolf’s Lair Studios and pressed by Paragon as monument of their satanic career. I guess, this is the only black metal band without bloody logo.
Permanent Midnight is traditional, harsh, grim like it was back then in Scandinavian scene, if you remember old IMMORTAL, old EMPEROR, old ENTHRONED, but they can never leave American brutal death metal in their blood. The death metal force is stronger in them, I personally think 5 tracks out of 8 in this CD is absolutely death metal. Just listen to the tracks “Wolf”, “Carnivorous Lunar Activities”, “The Feed in the Night”, “Set in an Apocalyptic Sunrise”, and “Saved by Darkness” . Most of the compositions blast with heavy riff, mid-tempos brutality, growls and screams. Some synthworks were also added to fit gloomy and haunting atmosphere. The only downpoint is shitty drum recording and sound productions which couldn’t be saved even by good mastering.
It seems Permanent Midnight obsessed so much with the tales of werewolf, although their own history may have become a legend now. Permanent Midnight was Wulv as vocalist and keyboards, Micitian as guitarist and Barbarian as drummer.

p/s: just for info, Ben Stiller starred in a 1998 comedy-drama film, Permanent Midnight!
